Satterfield maintained an impeccable reputation as a leader, mentor and friend, and distinguished himself as one of the most well-respected General Managers in the industry. Satterfield served on a great number of professional Boards and Committees, holding leadership positions in many of these. Satterfield recognized BRMEMC’s critical role in regional economic development and laid the foundation on which BRMEMC built its fiber-optic broadband network in our rural mountain counties. Satterfield’s visionary leadership BRMEMC grew its electric distribution system, its membership and its ancillary service offerings.
